The Deadly Series Boxed Set by Jaycee Clark

The Deadly Series Boxed set includes 5 stories from the series. The series revolves around the Kinncaid family, 5 brothers who eventually find love. But love doesn't come easy for any of them. The first book is Deadly Shadows and its Aiden and Jesslyn's story. Aiden is away from home for the opening of a new hotel in the chain his family owns. Aiden has come with a touch of heartbreak to this opening and he's not looking for love by any means. Instead of staying in a hotel, Aiden has a friend set up a rental for him. Little does he know just what this rental will bring. Jesslyn is getting over her past, and she doesn't want to fall in love again. She's a writer foremost but works with her friends too at a local business. She rents out her home occasionally. Things are going alright for Jesslyn until a friend is murdered, triggering a mystery she's embroiled in. And so begins Aiden and Jesslyn, he's determined to protect her while she's trying to protect her heart. The Second book is Deadly Ties, Gavin and Taylor's story. Taylor is through with men, well men except for her son, Ryan. She's happy living her life and taking care of her son. But things are not so simple for Taylor as someone wants to hurt her and take Ryan away. Gavin is the doctor of the family. He's very caring, even for those who aggravate him. He doesn't have any choice getting involved with Taylor as what is first dislike turns into something much more, then he has a family to protect. Next is Deadly Obsession, Christian and Brayden's lovestory. Christian has been a part of the Kinncaid family for years. The family doesn't know the truth of her past and she's never told anyone what she went through and why she ran away from home. She's been in love with Brayden for years, but he hasn't shared her feelings. Finally Christian decides to change her life, to get over him. Brayden has known Christian well for years, since she's worked as his daughters "nanny". He has known about her feelings for him , but couldn't share them. So of course when Christian changes and seems to be avoiding him, Brayden can't help but be curious, and when danger is lurking, he knows he has to do whatever he can to protect her. Fourth, is my favorite Deadly Games, Ian and Rori's story. SWOON. I have to say that I LOVED Ian in previous books and was a little anxious to see him get his girl! Rori was perfect for Ian and I loved their story, I loved watching both of them finally start trusting each other and I love what they brought to the family they created too. Ian is definitely my favorite Kinncaid boy, no doubt about it. Ian's story brings him back into the family fold after years of estrangement. Ian comes home with his "wife" and "daughter" needing somewhere safe to stay, what would be better than home with the brothers he's helped and the family he left? Rori has had a difficult past, she is used to solitude and likes it that way. That is until she runs across Ian and the little girl they rescue together while on a job. To make things safe for the girl and themselves Rori goes home with Ian. Last is Deadly Secrets which is the story of Quinlan and Ella. Poor poor Quinlan deserved his happy ending after everything he's been through in books prior. Quin thought he'd never marry, remembering the past, he felt he was better off alone. That is of course, until he met Ella. They hit it off right away, and then...she ran, leaving poor Quin alone and hurting all over again. Ella is afraid of commitment, so when things with Quinlan get serious, she runs as far as she can. After being gone for months, and hiding something, she discovers she needs Quin's help so she calls him. Quin has to help Ella and find the people responsible for hurting her and stealing something very important to both of them. While, I'll give nothing away, the main feature of each book is SOMETHING happening that brings danger into the lives of the Kinncaid men, their loves, and the rest of the family in some cases. These books are some of my favorite romantic suspense. I love the bonds of family in each book, Along with their parents, each Kinncaid son would do absolutely anything for his brother. I love the family motto of "This I'll Defend." I don't think their loyalty could be any deeper rooted and I love seeing them pull out no stops at protecting each other from any danger. Each story draws the family closer and closer together as they learn things about each other, the women in their lives, and overall as they protect their own. Each of the women in these novels has a quiet strength of her own, having borne it from trauma in the past or just the will to keep going during the trying times of whatever demons they face as they find their ways to each of their men. I love that each book focuses not only on the hero and heroine of the story, but on the family as a whole and how they all come together, even through animosities at times. The power of Family shows through each and every character connecting them all. I cannot wait for more of this series with Patriarch Jock's story, Deadly Beginnings. The sneak peek was not near enough! * Book Provided by Netgalley*
